The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Design for the Environment (EPA/DfE) label indicates that a product’s ingredients have been carefully reviewed by the Design for Environment team, which screens each ingredient for potential human health and environmental effects—to determine how the ingredients interact with living things.
